陈任民,原名惠恩,1901年出生于福州郊区台屿乡。他是福州觉悟较早的知识分子,也是早期的社会主义青年团团员。 在五四运动中,陈任民、陈应中等福州进步青年,积极投入爱国反帝的斗争,如饥似渴地学习、研究、探求中国革命的真理,并开始与北京的李大钊、上海的施存统、广东的李之龙、杨匏安等通信。1921年下半年,陈任民赴上海见到恽代英、邓中夏等同志,带回了《奋斗》等革命刊物和各种社会科学书籍,进一步受到新思想的熏陶。1922
Chen Renmin, formerly known as Hui Eun, was born in 1901 in Taoyuan, a suburb of Fuzhou. He was an early intellectual in Fuzhou and an early member of the Socialist Youth League. During the May Fourth Movement, Chen Renmin and Chen Yingzhong, progressive young people in Fuzhou actively devoted themselves to the struggle against patriotism and anti-imperialism. They eagerly studied, studied and probed the truth of the Chinese revolution and started to work with Li Dazhao in Beijing, Shi Cun-tong in Shanghai, Li Zhilong in Guangdong, Yang Yong and other communications.
