In this paper, the relative concentration of CO_2 in finely divided quartz in the veins was studied by using infrared spectral data and gas analysis data. The results show that the distribution of carbon dioxide in the veins is very uneven. The high CO 2 content largely determines the acidity of the hydrothermal solution and the ability to migrate into ore-forming materials. The loss of CO 2 results in the precipitation of ore-forming materials. The formation of ore-bearing Au-Ag ore assemblages corresponds to a distinct pressure gradient zone. Therefore, CO_2 can be used as a factor for the migration and deposition of ore-forming materials in near-surface gold-silver deposits.
