The 13th International AIDS Conference was held in South Africa from July 9 to 14. This is the first international AIDS conference in developing countries. The meeting once again sounded the alarm to the international community: AIDS is rapidly spreading on a global scale. Particularly in Africa and Asia, the most serious one is to curb the spread of AIDS. This has become a top priority for some governments. According to the latest UN report, so far, 18.8 million people have died of AIDS in the world. Last year, the death toll reached 2.3 million. As of last year, the total number of people living with HIV in the world reached 34.3 million, while in 16 South African countries of sub-Saharan Africa, there were 24.5 million people living with HIV, of whom about 1.3 million were children under 15 years of age. Children are the future of mankind. When children are mentioned, the first thing people always think of is the rising sun, flowers and hope. How can they be associated with HIV / AIDS that means disease, disaster and death? Whether AIDS is a personal tragedy or a social tragedy, We do not want it to become a common tragedy for all mankind. We urgently: Keep AIDS out of reach of children!
