The Call of the Wild is one of the important novel books by American modern writer Jack London. In the novel, Jack London wrote a human society through a dog’s perspective, which continuously reflected the relationship between man and nature and profoundly considered the future course of the relationship between man and nature. In addition, Darwin’s thought of “natural selection, survival of the fittest” is also embodied in this book, reflecting the “law of the jungle” by Buck’s struggle. Jack London is just like the real Buck, constantly trying to survive, and at the end of the meaning of life what is actually caught in the deep thinking. Based on this, I will discuss Jack Mullen’s theme of multiplicity of “The Call of the Wilderness” and its enlightenment to modern society.
