故事梗概：“时光飞逝，不知道这条长河哪里是源头，所有的人顺流而下，只有一个人逆流而上”，这个人就是本杰明·巴顿。他违反了大自然的规律，以老人形象降生人世，之后越活越年轻，直到变成一个婴儿在爱人的怀抱里甜美地睡去。1919年，本杰明·巴顿一出生就是一个混身是病的“老”婴儿，生母难产而去世，他的父亲惊恐地将他遗弃在一个养老院。幸运的是，一位好心的黑人妇女不顾众人反对收养了他，给了他一个完整的新家，使他在成长的岁月里也有了珍贵的母爱。

His skin has lost all 3)elasticity and his hands and feet are 4)ossified. He shows all the 5)deterioration, the 6)infirmities not of a newborn, but of a man well in his eighties on his way to the grave.
Queenie: He’s dying?
Doctor Rose: His body’s failing him before his life’s begun. Where did he come from?
Queenie: It’s my sister’s child, from Lafayette. She had an unfortunate adventure. Poor child, ①he got the worse of it. Come out white.
Doctor Rose: There are places for “unwanted” babies like these, Queenie. No room for another mouth to feed here. The Nolan Foundation, despite their good intentions, thinks this place is a large 7)nuisance as it is. A baby...
