由包钢矿山研究所研制的MFE-I型磁性铁测定仪于1993年5月5日至7日在北京通过了由冶金部矿山司组织的技术鉴定。测定磁性铁目前较准确的方法是铁物相法,但该法受外界条件影响(如解离度、冲洗水、操作因素等)较大,偏差较大,而且分析时间较长,不能满足现场分析的需要。MFE-I型磁性铁测定仪是采用物理方法进行测试的仪器,结构简单,并设有显示、打印装置,能直接打印出结果。采用该仪器对峨口铁矿、水厂铁矿和公益明铁矿进行大量数据测试,并经冶金部铁精矿检测中心验核,表明测定结果与铁物相法相近;
