我国是大白菜的故乡,栽培历史悠久,资源丰富,品种繁多,但目前均为二倍体品种(2n=2x=20),尚未发现三倍体大白菜的报导。据美国文献报导:苏联、保加科亚、日本、马来西亚等国,通过化学处理或远缘杂交等手段,均获得一些四倍体大白菜。但表现生育期长,植株高大,品质差,多为饲用。我所自1983年开始利用二倍体和四倍体大白菜直接杂交选育四倍体大白菜新品种“翠绿”(2n=4x
