第一届人民政协会议于1949年9月21日至30日在北平(北京)中南海怀仁堂召开,参加会议的共有14个党派团体364人,其中包括中共领袖毛泽东、朱德、刘少奇、周恩来和各民主党派领袖,著名无党派人士。此时,刚刚和平解放的北平,潜伏着国民党大批特务,他们为了破坏人民政协会议的召开,对我党领导人和爱国民主人士实施跟踪、暗杀。中央警卫师与纠察总队受命政协会议保卫任务,与敌特展开英勇、机智的斗争……
The first CPPCC meeting was held in Huailan Church, Zhongnanhai, Peking (Beijing) from September 21 to September 30, 1949. There were 364 party groups of 14 parties including the leaders of the CPC, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai and Leader of various democratic parties and famous non-party personage.
