谷子坐茬是武威地区近年来新蔓延起来的一种病害。经测定,此病害由灰飞虱传播。蚜虫、叶蝉不传,种子、土壤、磨擦接种亦不传。在20—25℃时,病害潜育期最短5天,一般6—7天;巡回期最短8天,最长16天;得毒时间最短2小时;致毒时间最短4小时;若虫得毒后可终身带毒;在测定的800多粒卵中未发现有带毒的;雌雄虫传毒能力相近;成虫传毒能力高于若虫。
