On October 15, 2008, Shuangliu Town Hospital of Kaiyang County admitted a school in Shuangliu Town for treatment of abdominal pain and diarrhea. Meanwhile, stool was collected and sent to the county CDC for detection. In this stool specimen, Freesia 3 a Shigella dysenteriae. On October 16 and 17, we organized personnel to conduct epidemiological investigations into schools and their peripheral medical institutions and found that the school started to have students onset from October 10 to October 20.
