高密度、高强度块状石墨由于它的高机械强度、高升华温度、比重小以及耐烧蚀等一系列优良性能,作为高温热结构材料,被广泛地应用于化工、冶金、原子能、国防和宇航等部门。但常规石墨存在着所能容许的机械应变和热应变小,抗热震性能差,导致块状石墨“热裂”。因此,发展高应变石墨以改善石墨抗热震性能已成为块状石墨研究工作的迫切课题。同时由于块状石墨制造成本低廉,仅为碳/碳复合材料的1/30,因此研制高应变石墨在我国具有十分重要的意义。
