The Qiandao volcanic belt extends over a series of islands in the Kuril Islands and belongs to the young trough belt that was laid in the early Cretaceous and is still in its relatively early development stage. The volcanic belt is composed of several tectonic belts: the uplift (inner arc) of the DaLing anticline and the upwelling of the Xiaoling anticline and the WeiJiaZi-Pegas submarine uplift (outer arc) in its northeastward extension; Depression; Thousand Island - Kamchatka deep trough; South Okhotsk deepwater basin (1976; 1974; 1967).
