主动网络是一种可编程的网络,用户可以对网络进行个性化的编程和设置。主动网络与传统的网络仅仅被动地传送字节流不同,它是“运行时刻可扩展的”。在主动网络体系结构中,可以快速动态地定制、配置新的网络服务和开发新的技术与协议,实验新的网络体系结构。加快了网络服务的革新步伐,提高了网络的性能,使得网络体系结构更灵活、更具有可扩张性。该文在介绍了主动网络的产生背景、实现方案、网络模型和它的优点之后,提出了一种高性能的主动网络路由器的实现方案,并针对该实现方案给出了该路由器的一些典型应用。
An active network is a programmable network where users can personalize their programming and settings. Active networks, unlike traditional networks that passively pass byte streams passively, are “run time scalable.” In the active network architecture, you can quickly and dynamically customize, configure new network services and develop new technologies and protocols to experiment with new network architectures. Accelerate the pace of innovation of network services, improve the performance of the network, making the network architecture more flexible and more scalable. After introducing the generation background of active network, realizing scheme, network model and its advantages, this paper presents a scheme of high performance active network router, and gives some typical applications of this router according to this scheme .
