The metastasis of tumor cells is a major obstacle to the cure rate of cancer. Tumor metastasis refers to the shedding of malignant neoplastic cells from the primary lesion, reaching a site not contiguous with the primary tumor through various pathways, and continuing to grow to form secondary tumors of the same nature as the primary tumor. The mechanism of malignant tumor metastasis and its influencing factors are extremely complex and involve a wide range of aspects, which are not yet fully elucidated. In recent years, a great deal of research has been conducted on the role of prostaglandin substances in the development and progression of tumor metastases. Among them, the most striking ones are the relationship between prostacyclin (PGI_2) and thromboxane A_2 (Thromboxane A_2, TXA_2) and tumor metastasis. Explore. This article gives a brief review of the research results achieved in this field in recent years.
