一、立档单位历史沿革省立平凉中学、是清光绪三十年(一九○四年)废科举后,在三十一年(一九○五年)开办于柳湖书院,当时名为陇东官立中学堂,民国二年(一九一三年)九月改名为省立第二中学,校址由柳湖书院迁至望台巷旧考院,一九三五年元月改名为省立平凉中学,一九四九年七月二十八日平凉解放后被我接管。该校四十年代初期,曾有学生数百人,开设有公民,国文、英语、算学、历史、地理、自然、作文、音乐、图画、社会、劳作、体育、童子军、公牍文、生活指导等课程。
