抗日战争爆发后,全国各地的文化名人相继来到桂林,桂林一度成为公认的战时“文化城”。1938年至1944年期间,广西省艺术师资训练班、私立桂林榕门美术专科学校、初阳美术学院等专业美术院校相继成立,为抗战宣传培养了大量美术人才,对抗日救亡活动起到了积极作用。桂林抗战美术教育作为桂林抗战文艺运动的重要组成部分,对广西、西南乃至全国的美术教育有着不可忽视的重要作用。
After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, cultural figures from all over the country came to Guilin one after another, and Guilin was once recognized as a “cultural city” during the war. From 1938 to 1944, art teachers training classes in Guangxi Province, private Guilin Rongmen art college, early Yang Art Academy and other professional art schools have been established, for the anti-Japanese propaganda training a large number of art talent, anti-Japanese national salvation activities have played a positive effect. As an important part of Guilin’s anti-Japanese literary and art movement, Guilin anti-Japanese war art education plays an important role in the art education in Guangxi, southwest and even the whole country.
