韭菜为多年生宿根植物。经过软化栽培的韭黄,品质柔软、味美,很受群众欢迎。但广州软化栽培韭黄的方法,普遍用一种特制圆筒形瓦筒罩在韭菜上,利用上面盖瓦盖的遮光方法软化栽培韭黄。热天7—8天收割,冷天10—12天收割。这种方法烦琐费工,成本高,产量低(约占韭菜产量的20%)。我所为了提高韭黄的产量,以适应广大群众及出口日益增多的需要,研究试用黑色塑料薄膜培育韭黄。试用的材料是大叶韭菜品种。播种期11—12月,定植期3—4月。到冬季可收割青韭,每次收获后即行中耕除草、施肥、培土。第二年为盛产年,收青韭、韭花为主。第三、四年每收一次青韭后就可软化栽培一次韭黄,也可于第二年盛产年进行软化,但生产韭黄太
