1999年11 月15日中国外经贸部部长石广生和美国贸易代表巴尔舍夫斯基在北京签署了中美关于中国加入世界贸易组织的双边协议,这标志着中美之间关于中国加入全球最大贸易组织的双边谈判正式结束,从而为中国“入世”扫清了最大障碍。石广生部长还表示,中国期盼着1999年年内能够加入世界贸易组织。“入世”对我国的社会经济有什么重大影响?对我国的卫生行业有什么重大影响?该如何应对?对此必须有正确认识,从而把握机遇,迎接挑战。
On November 15, 1999, Chinese Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Shi Guangsheng and U.S. Trade Representative Barshefski signed a bilateral agreement between China and the United States on China’s accession to the World Trade Organization, which marks the largest trade between China and the United States on China’s accession to the world. The organization’s bilateral negotiations formally ended, clearing China’s accession to the WTO the biggest obstacle. Minister Shi Guangsheng also stated that China is looking forward to joining the World Trade Organization in 1999.
