Dr Susan, a researcher at Ohio State University, spent most of her 30-year career seeking ways to treat and prevent oral cancers. The mortality rate of oral cancer is very high, 7,000 people die of oral cancer each year in the United States. Dr. Susan has experimented with various possibilities. The first breakthrough was the gel produced, which contains anthocyanins extracted from black raspberries. Studies have shown that anthocyanins inhibit genes responsible for cancer cell growth. Currently, Dr. Mallory continues the study, arguing that the combination of anthocyanin gels extracted from black raspberries with Ferentide, an established treatment for breast cancer, may improve the outcome. Ferentide has the effect of cutting off the blood supply of the tumor to inhibit its growth. people
