贫血是儿童时期的一种常见病,尤其是缺铁性贫血更为普遍。1983年6月WHO报道亚洲小儿缺铁性贫血患病率50%,3岁以下90%。贫血除引起血液的改变,还可影响儿童的体格和智能发育以及胃肠道功能等等。但如能加强营养,早期预防(?)此病是可以避免的。如了解本地区集体儿童贫血患病率,为今后深入开展研究工作和有关部门防治贫血改善儿童膳食营养提供依据,我们于1983年9月对东城区幼儿园儿童进行了贫血调查,调查中着重幼儿膳食营养问题。
