蜡封接穗是目前果树嫁接处理的一种科学方法。它具有简便、实用、省工省料、高效、嫁接成活率高等优点。在大面积高接种时,要比用草绳包扎抹黄泥法提高嫁接成活率69.6%,比用塑料薄膜捆扎提高嫁接成活率11%。蜡封接穗既易贮藏,又方便运输,还能防止病虫害的侵染,为嫁接成活提供了保证。此外,嫁接成活的接穗不再需将塑料条解下,少了一道工序,节省开支。
