This study shows the synergistic effect of recombinant human tumor necrosis factor (TNF) combined with ultrasound heating (HT). The experimental animal used was mouse (C57BL/6). Lung cancer cells were implanted on their hind legs. After 8 days, the tumor volume of 50 mice increased to 0.4-0.7 cm-3, and after 9 days, the tumor volume of 50 mice ranged from 1.5-2.scm3. They were treated intraperitoneally with TNF 30 minutes prior to ultrasound heating, and then three tumors were heated simultaneously using three ultrasound transducer disks of diameter ’omm.
