美国和加拿大的民族政策,经历了长期的演变过程,其本质是维护其核心文化,延续“美国化”、“加拿大化”的民族同化。民族歧视长期存在,移民矛盾日益激化的现实,说明其民族政策没有也不可能解决所有问题。中国和美国、加拿大等国家在基本国情、民族关系目标和民族政策原则等方面存在着根本性的差异,我们应从本国实际出发,进一步坚持和完善中国特色的民族政策。
The ethnic policies of the United States and Canada have undergone a long-term evolutionary process. Their essence is to maintain their core culture and continue the national assimilation of “Americanization” and “Canadianization.” The persistence of ethnic discrimination and the increasing intensification of the contradictions between immigrants indicate that none of its ethnic policies can and can not solve all the problems. There are fundamental differences between China and the United States and Canada in basic national conditions, the objectives of ethnic relations and the principles of ethnic policies. We should proceed from the reality of our own country and further adhere to and improve the ethnic policies with Chinese characteristics.
