夏谷“青到老”是沧州地区农科所从河南新乡地区农科所引入的“日本60日×新农724”杂交第二代材料中连续选育而成的。株高1米左右,叶片宽大挺拔,叶色青绿不早衰,茎粗节间短,抗倒能力特强,株型紧凑,抗病丰产性好,全生育期85天。我县从1977年引进,经几年栽培,获得了较高产量。1982年全县种植2万亩。平均亩产528.9斤,比冀农273提高12.2％,比当地小面谷增产
