《江上诗存》收入林散之二千二百多首诗,这不只是一个艺术家简单的传统文化修养的问题,林散之以诗为媒介沟通书画,以感悟自然、生活来促成他的艺术观和修行证悟。另外,林散之虽无煌煌理论巨著,谈艺笔谈也较散,但所谈皆有侧重点。笔者搜集了从一九七七年到二○一五年有关于林散之研究的出版物(诗文集、论文集、作品集、传记、著作等,见附表),在这些材料基础上,重点从论书诗、笔谈中挖掘,对林散之研究中薄弱的、被忽视或应该再细化推进的环节进行思考。
