马建忠在1894年《拟设翻译书院议》一文中提出明确善译观点,但在当时并未引起足够的重视。直到21世纪随着翻译理论的繁荣,一些学者和译者开始重新认识善译理论的意义,而不只是停止在语言学层面的语言转换。善译理论虽言简意赅,对翻译的阐释却十分全面,包括翻译理论范畴和对翻译实践的指导。本文试从翻译伦理角度剖析马建忠的善译,包括时代背景下马建忠作为政治人,提出翻译的必要性以及作为译者,马建忠提出对善译的道德规约,通过这些解读,尝试挖掘善译观深层的理论价值。
Ma Jianzhong put forward a clear view on translation in 1894, “Proposed Translation College”, but did not pay sufficient attention at the time. Until the 21st century, with the prosperity of translation theory, some scholars and translators began to re-understand the meaning of translating theory rather than stop the linguistic transition.
