20世纪后期,我国区域经济发展出现了大融合和大发展的态势,产业聚集区(产业园区、开发区等)、城市聚集区(城市群、带)等区域空间形态得到了快速发展,并成为区域经济发展的主导力量。它表明区域经济发展已经进入了以区域空间形态创新为主导的新时期。为推进我国区域空间形态创新的快速发展,笔者在总结中国中部地区区域空间形态创新发展规律的基础上,提出了以分区域、分阶段、分步骤、分层次推进为主要内容的中部地区区域空间形态创新分层发展模式。
