当下的新加坡华文文学教学处在一个十分尴尬的低谷期,选修人数锐减,学生兴趣低落,甚至出现高分低能的现象。究其原因,可归结为偏重实用的教学心态、过于陈旧的教学方法、难易失度的教材选文以及不尽合理的评估方式等方面。但与此同时,目前新加坡的华文文学教学也处在变革与突围的关键时期。只要我们重新定位学科性质、转变教学理念、重新思考教材编写并革新评估内容和方式,新加坡的华文文学仍然可以走出困境,寻求发展。
The current teaching of Chinese literature in Singapore is in a very embarrassing trough. The number of electives dropped drastically, students’ interest is low, and even high scores and low energy are present. The reason can be attributed to emphasis on practical teaching mentality, teaching methods are too old, difficult textbooks and textbooks as well as an unreasonable assessment methods. At the same time, however, the current teaching of Chinese literature in Singapore is also at a critical period of change and breakthrough. As long as we reposition the nature of the subject, change our teaching philosophy, rethink the compilation of teaching materials and reform the content and method of assessment, Singaporean Chinese literature can still get out of the predicament and seek development.
