我们都知道比喻是诗歌中常见的修辞手法,然而我们有没有注意到诗歌的比喻有不同种类?纵观英诗的发展,最明显、最简单的比喻可能要算彭斯的“My love is like a red,red rose”或者华兹华斯的“I wandered lonely as acloud”。这种明显的比喻我们一般称之为明喻(simile)。使用比喻常常是要表达某物与某物的相似之处,在最早的诗歌史诗中比喻已经用得很多,类比的范围也比以上例句要宽广得多。但丁在《地狱篇》里写道:“And as the cranes gochanting their lays,making themselves a long streak in the air,so I saw
We all know that metaphor is a common rhetorical technique in poetry. However, have we noticed that there are different kinds of metaphors in poetry? The most obvious and simple metaphor we look at in the development of English poetry may be ”My love is like a red, red rose “or Wordsworth’s” I wandered lonely as acloud “. This obvious analogy we generally call simile (simile). Metaphor is often used to express the similarity between something and something.
