This paper evaluates the tailings management of the Highlanval Copper Mine and outlines the main features of tailings storage facilities between the H-H and L-L dams. Management focuses on: reducing costs and energy consumption; safety and integrity of tailings ponds; environmental protection; deactivated and reclaimed and reused.
