Objective: To investigate the effect of 1840MHz electromagnetic radiation on sex hormone secretion and anti-oxidative damage in male SD rats. Methods: Forty-eight adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 8 groups according to body weight, namely 2 sham irradiation group and 6 irradiation groups. The irradiation frequency was 1840MHz and the specific absorption rate (SAR) was 0.2 , 0.5,1.5 W / kg of electromagnetic radiation, continuous irradiation for 1 week or 3 weeks (5 d / week, 30 min / d). SD rats were anesthetized immediately after irradiation and blood was collected from the heart. The serum was separated and the levels of serum FSH, Gn, GnR and LH were measured by radioimmunoassay LH), testosterone (T) concentration. Testicular tissues were weighed and fixed with paraformaldehyde. The sections were stained with paraffin and stained with hematoxylin-eosin (HE). The morphology of testis was observed with a microscope. The expression of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) ) And DNA oxidative damage marker 8-OHd G distribution and expression. Results: Compared with the control group, there was no significant damage of the testis structure in the irradiated group, but irradiated by electromagnetic radiation with specific absorption rates of 0.2 W / Kg and 0.5 W / Kg for 3 weeks (5 d / week, 30 min / d), the levels of FSH, Gn RH and LH in the irradiation group decreased significantly (p <0.05), and there was no significant change in the expression of HSP70 and 8-OHd G in the testis. Conclusion: 1840MHz electromagnetic radiation had no significant effect on the morphology of testis in male SD rats, while some reproductive endocrine function of testis did not change, which caused no significant oxidative stress injury in testis.
