丝瓜是本镇的特色蔬菜,素以烹调方式多样,食用美味爽口,营养丰富而极受市场青睐,销售潜力很大。考虑到提早丝瓜供应期需要大棚设施,成本较高,推广难度较大,本镇从1997年开始,试用扩大延秋丝瓜栽培面积的方法,有效地调节了伏缺季节的蔬菜供应,缓和了丝瓜盛产期的销售压力,延长了秋季供应期,缩短了丝瓜占田时间,既降低了生产成本,又提高了丝瓜售价。栽培试验设3个小区与1个常规丝瓜对照区。1997年每小区30m~2,定植丝瓜100株,折合每667m~22000株;1998年每小区20m~2,定植丝瓜58株,折合667m~21933株;对照均为60m~2,定植丝瓜200株,折合每667m~22000株。
