记得9岁的时候,有一次我和妈妈一起去新加坡果园路的购物中心,我们走进了一个小长廊,在一间屋子的玻璃窗后面坐着两个人,听妈妈说他们是卖邮票的。我给了他们几枚硬币,他们微笑着把几张邮票递到我手里,我和妈妈把邮票贴在了信封上,然后就把信投进了信箱,我眼瞅着这封信投了进去,才放心离开。对于妈妈来说,写信只是日常事务之一,比如给住在马尼拉的亲戚或是美国的婶婶写一张问候卡,可是对于我来说,这是一件非常有意思的事,多少年
I remember when I was 9 years old, I went to the Mall at Orchard Road, Singapore with my mother. We walked into a small promenade and sat two people behind the glass windows of a room where my mom said they were selling stamps . I gave them a few coins and they smiled and put a few stamps in my hands. My mom and I put the stamps on the envelopes, and then put the letter in the mail.
