Objective To explore the relationship between serum trace elements and reproductive hormones and male infertility and to provide a theoretical basis for the diagnosis and treatment of male infertility. Methods The serum levels of trace elements and reproductive hormones in 50 male infertility and 50 normal men were measured respectively, and the differences between the two groups were compared. Results The level of zinc in the blood of the infertile group was significantly lower than that of the control group. The content of iron and copper, serum FSH, LH and PRL in the infertile group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Sterile group of zinc and FSH, LH, PRL showed a significant negative correlation. Conclusion There is a certain relationship between blood trace elements and sex hormones and male infertility. Simultaneous detection of serum reproductive hormones and trace elements may provide a reference for the diagnosis and treatment of male infertility.
