Based on ASIACHEM’s data,China eth-ylene and propylene equivalent gap willreach 9.6 million and 3.4 million tons in2010 respectively.The shortage of sup-ply will be supplemented by importedderivatives,like polyethylene,polypropy-lene and MEG etc.The broad gap attractedmore interests from investors on coal-to-olefins(CTO)projects.
