从认知的角度探讨认知心理学中的原型范畴理论对英语多义词习得的启示。原型范畴理论认为多义词都具有一个中心义项,即原型意义,其他意义都是在原型意义的基础上延伸辐射出来的,所以在学习多义词的过程中要注重原型意义的学习。根据原型范畴理论,多义词有两种扩展方式:连锁方式和辐射方式。因此,英语学习者在原型意义的基础上,根据扩展方式理解各个义项之间的关系,并加强隐喻和转喻认知机制的应用,可以提高英语多义词的学习效率。
Enlightenment of Prototype Theory in Cognitive Psychology on English Polysemy Acquisition from Cognitive Perspective. Prototype theory that polysemous words have a central meaning, that is, the meaning of the prototype, the other meanings are extended on the basis of the meaning of the prototype radiation, so in the process of learning polysemy should pay attention to the study of the meaning of the prototype. According to the prototype category theory, there are two ways to extend polysemous words: chain and radiation. Therefore, based on the prototype meaning, EFL learners can understand the relationship among various senses according to the extension mode and strengthen the application of metaphor and metonymic cognitive mechanism to improve the learning efficiency of English polysemous words.
