Located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand’s “Ding-level presidential” building is a set of hotels, office buildings, shopping malls as one of the 36-story skyscraper. At 10:30 on February 23, 1997, an air conditioner explosion on the 7th floor of the building caused a big fire and the fire was not controlled until six hours later. Two people fell to death from a seven-story floor to escape the scorching flames and suffocating smoke, while another hundred were rescued by helicopters. The fire swallowed up to the seventh floor and spread to the tenth floor. The builders and staff members who were preparing for the opening of the second day’s building escaped to the rooftop of the building and was transported there by five helicopters to a safe place.
