Objective: To investigate the infection of female human papillomavirus (HPV) in Taizhou area and its subtype distribution. METHODS: Twenty-one subtypes of HPV were detected by DNA hybridization, of which 13 were high-risk subtypes (HPV16, 52,58,33,18,31,68,39,59,51,56,45,35) Five subtypes of low risk (HPV11,6,42,43,44), three subtypes of common Chinese people (HPV53,66, CP8304). Results: Of the 1,007 cases, 2080 HPV-positive patients were detected, with a total positive rate of 20.79% (2080/10007). Among them, the number of high-risk subtypes was 2133 (repeated counts with multiple infections), accounting for 78.42% (2133/2720) of the total number of positive subtypes; 174 cases (including duplicate counts of multiple infections) of low-risk subtypes, (174/2720). The common subtype of Chinese population was 413 (repeated count with multiple infections), accounting for 15.18% (413/2720) of the total number of positive subtypes. Single subtype positive as the main mode of infection, the ratio was 76.73% (1596/2080). High-risk subtype positive rate of the first three is HPV16, 52,58. The prevalence of HPV infection in Taizhou area tends to increase with age. Conclusion: The positive rates of HPV infection and the subtypes of HPV infection in Taizhou area are similar to those in other areas in Zhejiang Province. However, the HPV positive rate in Taizhou area tends to increase with age, which is completely different from the Hangzhou survey in other provinces , Which requires clinicians to pay attention to in the process of diagnosis and treatment.
