《中学英语教学大纲》指出:写是书面表达和传递信息的交际能力。培养初步写作能力,是英语教学的目的之一。语言交际能力包括听说读写,听别人说与说给别人听,是口头交际;读别人的文章与写给别人的文章,则是书面交际。这四种能力的培养与提高是相辅相成、互相依赖的。英语书面表达是运用我们从课文中学到的词汇、句型及语法知识,能较准确地表达某些思想或主题。所以书面表达应从平时的英语教学抓起,做到听与写、说与写、读与写相结合。
Syllabus for Secondary School English states that writing is a communicative ability to express and convey information in writing. Developing initial writing skills is one of the purposes of English teaching. Language communication skills include listening, speaking, reading and listening, listening to others and talking to others, is oral communication; reading other people’s articles and writing articles to others is written communication. The cultivation and improvement of these four abilities are complementary and interdependent. Written English is the use of vocabulary we learn from the text, sentence and grammar knowledge, can more accurately express certain ideas or topics. Therefore, written expression should start from the usual English teaching, so that listening and writing, speaking and writing, reading and writing combined.
