大英帝国被吉尼斯世界纪录认定为历史上面积最大的帝国,大英帝国在19世纪初达到鼎盛,其实大英帝国的形成是几百多年来贸易、移民与武力征服的结果,帝国的领土遍及包括南极洲在内的七大洲、四大洋,曾被形容为“日不落帝国”。大英帝国参与欧洲其它国家事务的历史悠久,对亚洲的殖民统治具有一定影响,本文通过对维多利亚时期大英帝国的部分殖民地的研究为切入点,深入了解大英帝国对亚洲殖民地的文化影响与植入。
The British Empire was identified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest empire in history. The British Empire peaked in the early 19th century. In fact, the formation of the British Empire was the result of trade, immigration and the conquest of force for hundreds of years. The territory of the Empire included Antarctica, including the seven continents, the four oceans, was described as “never fall empire ”. The British Empire has a long history of participating in other European countries and exerting some influence on the colonial rule in Asia. Through the study of part of the Victorian Empire Colony, the article deeply studies the cultural influence and implantation of the British Empire on Asian colonies.
