长绒棉(属海岛棉种),系纺高支棉纱和特种纺织工业不可缺少的原科。近年来,为适应与化学合成纤维混纺及现代化高速纺织技术的要求,国际市场对长绒棉的需求量增长,各主要产棉国都十分重视发展长绒棉 Long staple cotton (a species of island cotton), the Department of spinning high count cotton yarn and specialty textile industry indispensable to the original section.
