族群的形成与人口资源的竞争密切相关,环境的变迁与人群迁徙造成了新的资源竞争关系,这对促进华夏边缘的形成起到了重要作用。羌族的历史就是一部华夏边缘族群形成史,在此过程中必然伴随着少数民族的汉化,唐宋时期党项羌建立的西夏王朝就是其中的典型代表。
The formation of ethnic groups is closely related to the competition of population resources. The change of environment and the migration of people create new competition of resources, which plays an important role in promoting the formation of the edge of China. The history of the Qiang nationality is a history of the formation of the marginalized ethnic groups in China. In this process, the ethnic minorities are inevitably transformed into Chinese. The Western Xia dynasty established by the Party and Qiangs during the Tang and Song Dynasties is one of the typical representatives.
