以三菱汽车公司在RVR车及GaIant Fortis车上配装的4J10型1.8 L直列4缸汽油机为例,介绍该机型所采用的新型三菱可变气门正时控制系统(MIVEC),以及自动怠速起停(AS&G)系统,采用这些新技术的目的是降低车辆的燃油耗。在日本JC08工况下,上述车型的燃油经济性可改善13%~15%;在10-15工况下,燃油经济性约改善12%。新型MIVEC的特点在于可通过单一机构的机械联动,同时连续改变气门升程、气门开启持续期(作用角),以及气门开启和关闭正时(相位),以实现所期望的气门控制功能。如在低负荷时,可使进气门旱关,以降低泵气损失;而在高负荷时,使进气门升程及开启角最大,以延迟进、排气凸轮相位,通过延迟关闭进气门来降低泵气损失。AS&G系统可在临时停车的情况下自动停止汽油机的运转,以降低燃油耗。
Take Mitsubishi Motors’ 4J10 1.8L inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine fitted to RVR cars and GaIant Fortis cars as an example to introduce the new Mitsubishi Variable Valve Timing Control System (MIVEC) used in this model, as well as automatic idle start Stop (AS & G) system, the purpose of these new technologies is to reduce the fuel consumption of vehicles. In Japan JC08 condition, the fuel economy of the above models can be improved by 13% ~ 15%; in the 10-15 conditions, the fuel economy improved by about 12%. The new MIVEC is characterized by a single mechanism of mechanical linkage while continuously changing valve lift, valve open duration (angle of action), and valve opening and closing timing (phase) to achieve the desired valve control function. Such as at low load, the intake valve can be dry clearance, in order to reduce pump losses; and at high load, the intake valve lift and opening angle to the maximum, to delay intake and exhaust cam phase, by closing the delay Valve to reduce pumping losses. The AS & G system automatically stops the gasoline engine in the event of a temporary stop to reduce fuel consumption.
