Tomatoes are the highlight of the garden, which, like potatoes, was native to Peru’s Andes and was later discovered by the Spanish conquistadors. In the 16th century, tomatoes were brought to Europe for the first time and were called “golden apples” in Italy. Then it has an ambiguous name Yu - “love apple ”. But people are cautious about it because its bright red fruit resembles a hallucinogen called Mandala. This spiral garden describes the travel of tomatoes through time and space. Scaffolding symbolizes changes in tomatoes, while ladders symbolize the links between the continents. In addition to tomatoes, the gardens showcase other plants such as Spain’s Fresh Beans, Virginia Gypsophila, German Hops, Hops and Indian creepers, let’s join this “Travel Around the World”!
