Objective To investigate the clinical value of multifocal oscillatory potentials (MOPs) in retinal vein occlusion. Methods Nineteen eyes (19 eyes) with retinal vein occlusion were examined by VERIS 4.0 visual acuity imaging system. 8 cases (8 eyes) of central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO), 8 cases of branch retinal vein occlusion BRVO) 11 cases 11 eyes. Twenty cases of normal people as the normal control group of patients. The amplifier’s pass band has a low-frequency cutoff of 10 0 Hz and a high-frequency cut-off of 10 0 0 Hz. The horizontal field of view of the test field was ± 26.6 ° and the vertical field of view was ± 2 2 .1 °. 10 3 hexagonal retinal reactions were recorded at 4 min (8 segments). Results The first part of the second-order reaction showed three oscillatory potentials OP1, OP2 and OP3 in 47 ms, no matter in the entire test area or in five rings. The first-order response of the normal eye was within 37 ms. The second- Step response more clearly. In 91.6% (66/72) of the patients with central retinal vein occlusion and retinal branch vein occlusion, the latency of OP1, OP2 and OP3 was delayed than that of normal, and the amplitude of OP1, OP2 and OP of 6 8.1% (49/72) , Central retinal vein occlusion than retinal branch vein occlusion changes more obvious. Conclusion MOPs can effectively and quantitatively evaluate the retinal function in different regions of patients with retinal vein occlusion
