2005年9月5日-9月9日,第22届世界法律大会先后在北京和上海召开,与会代表约1500多名,来自60多个国家和国际组织的近500位外国代表中包括有70多位首席大法官或最高法院院长,大法官、司法部长和国际组织负责人。代表们就当前国际社会共同关注的法治问题分专题进行了广泛深入的讨论。按照惯例,大会组织了一次别开生面的模拟法庭审判,并最后形成了正式的《上海宣言》。9月5日在北京人民大会堂举行了盛大的开幕式。开幕式之前国家主席胡锦涛在人民大会堂会见了部分国家、国际组织和港澳台代表。中共中央政治局常委
From September 5 to September 9, 2005, the 22nd World Legal Conference was held in Beijing and Shanghai successively with more than 1,500 delegates and nearly 500 foreign delegates from more than 60 countries and international organizations included 70 Chief Justice or Supreme Court President, Chief Justice, Minister of Justice and Head of International Organizations. The delegates held extensive and in-depth discussions on the sub-topic of the rule of law issues that the international community is currently concerned with. As usual, the General Assembly organized an extraordinary trial of the moot court and finally formed the official Shanghai Declaration. On September 5, a grand opening ceremony was held in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People. Before the Opening Ceremony, Chinese President Hu Jintao met with some countries, international organizations and representatives from Hong Kong, Maucao and Taiwan in the Great Hall of the People.
