在我国高等学校中,各系、部等教学科研单位普遍设有资料室。资料室的职责,在国家颁布的“图书馆工作规程”中有明确规定:“负责本专业书刊的保管和阅览,并着重进行专业资料的收集、管理和研究,开展情报服务”。可见,收集专业资料,并进行整理和研究,开展情报服务,是资料室的重要职责。一个资料室办得好坏,最重要的评价标准应是提供情报服务的数量与质量。资料室应成为教师备课的后盾,科学研究的助手,专业情报的中心。
In China’s colleges and universities, faculties, ministries and other teaching and research institutes generally have reference rooms. The responsibilities of the reference room are clearly stipulated in the “Procedures for Library Work” promulgated by the state: “Responsible for the custody and reading of the professional books and periodicals, and focus on the collection, management and research of professional materials and the development of information services.” Visible, collecting professional information, and organize and research, to carry out intelligence services, is an important responsibility of the reference room. A reference room to do well, the most important evaluation criteria should be to provide the quantity and quality of intelligence services. The reference room should be the backup of teachers’ lesson preparation, the assistant of scientific research and the center of professional intelligence.
