Objective To study the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of torafen. Methods Xylene and carrageenan were used to induce ear edema in mice and ankle swelling in rats. The mice models of writhing, hot plate and electric sizzle were prepared by acetic acid, heat and electric stimulation respectively. Results Toxoparafen (ig, 50, 100, 200 mg kg-1) significantly inhibited xylene-induced ear swelling in mice and also inhibited the writhing response in mice in a dose-dependent manner, significantly prolonging the mouse hot plate Of licking foot reaction latency and raising the threshold of electrosurgical stimulation in mice, but had no significant effect on carrageenan-induced ankle swelling in rats. Conclusion Tacrolimus has obvious anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects
