尊敬的主席,女士们、先生们:今天我们相聚在加拿大美丽的城市蒙特利尔,探讨和交流有关城市历史文化遗产的保护与利用问题,这是很有意义的。西安有3100多年的建城史和1100多年的建都史,是中国诸多古都中历史最为悠久的城市,中国古代历史上最辉煌的几个王朝周、秦、汉、隋、唐都在此建都,为我们留下了丰厚的地上地下历史文物和景观,使西安成为一座世界历史文化名城。悠久的历史文脉仍在今天延续。如今的西安,已成为一个科技教育发达,人文精神荟萃的现代化城市,是中国内陆重要的科研中心、教育中心、商贸中心和现代工业基地。
Dear Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen, Today we gather in Montreal, a beautiful city in Canada, to discuss and exchange ideas on the protection and utilization of the historical and cultural heritage of the city. This is of great significance. Xi’an has more than 3100 years of urban construction history and over 1100 years of capitalist history. It is one of the oldest cities in many ancient capitals in China. The most brilliant dynasties in ancient China’s history include the Qin, Han, Sui and Tang dynasties , Left us a wealth of underground historical relics and landscapes, making Xi’an a world famous historical and cultural city. The long historical context continues today. Nowadays, Xi’an has become a modern city where science and technology education is developed and humanities are concentrated. It is an important research center, education center, business center and modern industrial base in mainland China.
