美院可有奇人乎?答曰:章祖安先生正是。何谓“奇”?曰“不偶”、“不群”之谓也,又曰出其不意,即有脱凡出众、超劫锐变之处。章先生已近高寿,轻易不到学校,一般难见其踪迹,声名只在风闻耳传之中,由是愈显其奇。上世纪70年代末,我曾听章先生所授中国古代文学课与“文革”后美院最早的几场讲座,惊叹先生学问宏博,屡屡对他的清异风骨称奇。三十多年过去,交往愈切,印象愈深,兀自揣摩,为先生拈出三奇。
Academy of Fine Arts can be surprising? Answer: Mr. Zhang Zu An is. What is meant by “odd”? In the late 1970s, I listened to the earliest lectures of the Academy of Fine Arts after the Chinese ancient literature class and the “Cultural Revolution” taught by Mr. Zhang. He was amazed at how Prof. Wang learned about him and repeatedly expressed his unique style. Thirty years have passed, the more contacts we have, the more deeply we feel, and we try to figure out three unique things for our husband.
